It was an honour to receive His Royal Majesty, Oba Olusola Idris Adebowale Lamidi-Osolo Otenibotemole II, at Nike Art Gallery.

A proud moment to welcome the Oba of Ado and Olofin Adimula Oodua of Awori land, celebrating the enduring connection between culture, heritage, and artistic expression.

If you haven't been to see the Nigerian Modernism exhibition at the Modern, you have until May to go. The exhibition featuring my work alongside my colleagues Bruce Onabrakpeya, Muraina Oyelami and Chief Buraimoh is a major, landmark show, widely described as one of the most important exhibitions of Nigerian art ever staged in the UK.

It features Over 250 artworks, more than 50 pioneering artists and includes painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, printmaking, and more.

A true privilege to welcome President Tinubu to the Nigerian Modern exhibition where my own work is on display. Deeply honoured.

As we mark Mother’s Day during Women’s International Month, we celebrate the women who give life not only to children, but to culture, community, creativity, and hope.

Mothers are often the first teachers, the first storytellers, the first artists in a child’s life. Through them, traditions are preserved, values are shaped, and futures are nurtured. Their influence extends far beyond the home, quietly transforming societies one generation at a time.

At Nike Art Gallery, we honour the powerful lineage of women whose hands, voices, and visions keep our heritage alive, from grandmothers to mothers to daughters. I'm pictured with two of my daughters, Aina & Caroline, and twobofvmy granddaughters, Aluna& Aina.

Today, we celebrate mothers as the heart of womanhood, resilient, nurturing, visionary, and strong. Your love builds families, your wisdom shapes nations, and your legacy lives on in every life you touch.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and mother figures around the world. Your strength is the foundation on which tomorrow stands.

What a beautiful surprise welcoming to Nike Art Gallery during his Africa tour
One of the biggest Gen Z influencers in the world, and he came ready to embrace the culture. From learning how to dance, to choosing his own Nigerian name, to celebrating his birthday with us, it was all love and laughter.

Still buzzing that he stopped by, and just moments before he hit 50 million subscribers. A truly special moment we’ll never forget 🇳🇬❤️

Africa welcomes you, always.

Shortly after her visit, one of our artists referenced in the video passed away. He was an incredible artist who touched many lives and will continue to do so through the legacy of the school he built in his village.
