The world's youngest grandmother ever was a Nigerian and was only 17 years old.

A girl known as Mum-Zi was just 8 years and 4 months old when she gave birth to a her daughter named "Zi" in 1884.

Zi, Mum-Zi's daughter, became a mother as well at the age of 8 years 8 months. Zi gave birth to a healthy baby boy in 1892, who was also fathered by a 9-year-old. They are the youngest recorded parents, in combined age. They are from Nigeria, on an island called Akwa Akpa, now known as the city of Calabar
