Hussel showed his first public performance in Rotterdam to his parents in China, who had not seen him for almost four years and have no experience with contemporary art. Next week! Galerie Mieke van Schaijk Rib. Carola Loves Carlos is the second edition of Het Zuid Manifest and is taking place from 26 to 29 March 2026.
The festival will bring together 40 local and international artist and 20 galleries and institutions, artworks are placed across everyday spaces in Charlois. From a barbershop, flower shop, s*x shop, a stone shop, a vacant store to a theme park under construction…
A dramaturgy is created that brings to surface what was already present in both artwork and location, yet remained unspoken.

Het Zuid Manifest is a program of Rib and is conceived and curated by Maziar Afrassiabi. 💌 Take a trip to Charlois and visit Het Zuid Manifest: Carola Loves Carlos.
