This Saturday we celebrate that eight years ago, we opened a space for our gallery and bar in Bos & Lommer. Thanks to the ever-inspiring artists of No Man's Art Gallery and the many superstar team members No Man’s Art Gallery & de bar, that place grew to be a welcoming base to many. Eight, the infinite number, signalling our infinite gratitude to those who helped build it, supported it, passed by, stayed, danced, shared and kept it going.

Come celebrate with us this Saturday. The beautiful solo exhibition by Marilyn Sonneveld opens at 5pm, marking the start of the new cultural season. At 8pm we start the party, until late with DJ’s Joery and Lucas Seung Min Sim b2b IKNOWNOA

We look forward to open the cultural season with “the black bird was singing, the light was bright”, Marilyn Sonneveld’s fourth solo exhibition at No Man’s Art Gallery, opening on Saturday 5 September from 5-8pm.

The vernissage is followed by the celebration of the 8 Year Anniversary of No Man’s Art Gallery and our bar in Amsterdam West. We would be honoured to celebrate this special evening with you.

We look forward to open the cultural season with the opening of the black bird was singing, the light was bright, Marilyn Sonneveld’s fourth solo exhibition with No Man’s Art Gallery. Save the date for Saturday September 5th, 5pm - late.

The exhibition presents a new body of paintings exploring intimacy, care, kinship, and the
quiet space where love and loss meet.

The opening will be followed by the No Man’s Art Gallery 8 Year Anniversary Party.

Benjamin Francis’ film For Your Own Good premieres in Belgium at TICK TACK, Antwerp, as part of Together, a joint initiative by Antwerp-based artists and art spaces in support of Pride 2026.

Drawing on the ideas of Russian philosopher George Gurdjieff, For Your Own Good examines how care and hygiene can function as mechanisms of social control, revealing how obedience and conformity are cultivated under the guise of protection.

“In Samiee’s exhibition at No Man’s Art Gallery, small paintings of plants and flowers are scattered throughout the space. Some are based on his own houseplants; others have emerged from the paint on his brush. Some are almost naïve in their optimism: painted in vivid pinks and bright yellows, their leaves reaching confidently upwards. Alongside these, against a dark background, two soft pink flowers appear, reminiscent of orchids, with their open petals and pointed, tentacle-like forms. Samiee titled the series Flowers of Sadness, because, as he writes, they were born out of despair.” (Joke de Wolf, in De Groene Amsterdammer, 2026)
