Many people have memories with old computers. One of my personal ones was this music on a CoCo2. It took me years to find the software, and I accidentally came across it. Very happy to feel the nostalgia by seeing and hearing this. What do you want to experience to get back to forgotten time?

Look at this beautiful restored Apple Lisa 2/5!

Did you know you can help us restore more of these (and other computers)? By adopting a computer. For only 128 euro a year, we will give the adopted computer extra attention. Fresh and clean 230volts, we will cuddle it, maybe even give it fresh capacitors so it will be a very happy computer. And of course, you can come and visit it any time during opening hours for no pay extra.

And yes, your name will be (optionally) put next to the computer and on our website so the whole world knows, you are the one taking care.

We're a little quieter the past few days, because many of the volunteers are working on the new HCM warehouse / Repair department / shop / Commodore store.

We're making good progress, the coffee machine is there already!

We need to make some walls, paint, clean and then add stuff. We're still going for within 3 months this will be open.

And another computer we had no clue that it existed. The Schneider Tower AT System 220!

What a beautiful design of a case (yes, that's an opinion). Dual 3,5" disks and according to the manual, this is from 1988. So, it's not a rebranded Amstrad computer but a true German Schneider. Between 1984 and 1987, Schneider rebranded Amstrad computers, but the association ended in 1987.

It's not working according to the donor so we haven't plugged it in (yet). For specs we searched and it should have an AMD 80286 CPU running at 10 MHz. 1 MB of RAM and an EGA videocard. Could be a MDA or Hercules too, not sure there (yet).

The monitor looks like it's a monochrome one. Also, it looks very familiar to the Atari SM124 monitor, same buttons and looks.

All boxes are included and even a keyboard with a very sad button. Very nice donation!

And for those who wonder, tomorrow and Monday (Dutch national holiday) we are OPEN! From 11:00 until 18:00 you can visit the museum where the air conditioning is keeping it at a nice 22 degrees Celsius. And, because it's hot outside, we have free water for all museum visitors!

Meanwhile, our Exidy Sorcerer is fully functional again. One of the power lines on the S100 expansion died which made the entire S100 expansion useless. It's fixed so we can show the game again.

It's a nice game that only needed one page of explanation and which included controls. The times have changed a bit since then when it comes to gaming.

Have you ever played this game?

Another mysterious donation...

We received a donation today. At first, a standard IBM PC XT-keyboard, a Philips monitor (clone of a Commodore 1084) and this Texas Instruments Expansion System. Kind of cool to get another relatively rare expansion unit for a Texas Instruments TI/99. But why is there no computer in this donation? There is a mouse, even a joystick, and lots of software.. but no system..

Until we looked at the back, this looks like someone but a computer inside this Expansion System? We opened it up and found a card that looks like it is a full computer inside.

It has a TMS9995NL-12 CPU, a 16-bit cpu. The Yamaha V9938 is a videochip that can be found in MSX2. Also 2 floppy controllers, an RS232 controller and we guess ROMs with batteries.

Anyone ever seen this one? We will see what happens when we power it up, but it's a quite a surprise and not something obvious to us.

Does anyone have more information about the Commodore Media Tower?

We have 2 of these, one still had the original computer and harddisk, the other one still had the touchscreen and payment terminal.

Our information is that this is part of the Commodore Media computers, created by Yeahronimo BV. These were from 2009(?) And only 9 of them were produced. If so, these must be incredible rare.

It was meant to be a media shop, just like iTunes, but thankfully on this specific computer. Find the video or audio you want, pay for it (using pin terminal) and it could be places on a SD card, or USB stick, or even Sony MMC.

The software refuses to start for it is looking for a remote service that doesn't exist. However, we found some cache things. Of course we made an image of this harddisk ;)

If you know more, how many were actually there and if they were ever sold as a product, we would love to know.

Another beautiful donation!

A complete IBM Personal Computer XT, or 5160 for the model number aficionados. And a complete and beautiful Casio FP-1100 with boxed floppy drive unit, a color monitor and a lot of documentation and software.

The Casio is first CP/M-based computer produced by Casio in 1983 featuring not one but two CPUs; The NEC PD8780-1 a Zilog Z80 clone and the NEC PD780G-1.

It's a fascinating computer from what we've found out so far. We're sure to find out more of this system in the following weeks.

Thanks for this great donation!
