Details from Mona Tahani's February 28th, currently on view at Kunsthall 3,14.

February 28th is a printmaking project that refers to the day the United States and Israel began military attacks in Iran. As images of war, uncertainty, and displacement circulated across screens and borders, Mona Tahani (b. 1982 – Tehran, Iran) entered an extended and intensive month of production. Printmaking became an endurance practice in which the physical demands of repetition mirrored a psychological state of suspension — of waiting, receiving fragmented information, and responding to events unfolding beyond reach and control.

Ny episode i vår podkastserie Dare to Hear!

Kolonisering er ikke bare historie. I denne episoden utforsker en grønlandsk og en dansk kunstner – Dan Brown Brønlund og Frans Jacobi – hvordan koloniale strukturer og erfaringer fortsatt former nåtiden, både i kunsten og i hverdagslivet. Gjennom en personlig og ærlig samtale reflekterer de over arv, ansvar, identitet og muligheten for nye relasjoner.

Samtalen bygger videre på temaene som ble utforsket i utstillingen Memory in Motion og seminaret Grønland – hva nå?, som ble arrangert tidligere i vår ved Kunsthall 3,14 i samarbeid med Universitetet i Bergen.

Through movement, presence, and embodied response, dancers Lorena Olguín and Mirte Bogaert engaged with the exhibitions of Shwan Dler Qaradaki and Mona Tahani, opening new spaces for reflection on memory, borders, belonging, and the vulnerable body.

Utstillingene med Shwan Dler Qaradaki, Mona Tahani, Ciara Phillips og Assia Ghendir kan oppleves hele sommeren, fram til 30. august. Som alltid er det gratis inngang 🙂

by Ãssia Ghendir is an assemblage of previously released works based on field recordings in the Algerian Sahara, alongside other recordings in North Africa. This work listens to geological surfaces as sonic matter, where vibration and erosion shape a field of attention. It acts as an invitation to listen closely, in which voice becomes a way of encountering land, body, and memory.
