We are delighted to present our next exhibition:

REMOTE VIEWERS by artist Gair Dunlop and Matthew Flintham.

The exhibition opens this Sunday at Galleri Kronborg. Join us at Fløyen at 14:00 for a beautiful walk up the Mountain.

Remote Viewers connects two distant sites — Rundemanen (Bergen) and Bervie Brow Research Station (Scotland) — through new photographic and sculptural works. Across 600 km of ocean, the exhibition explores distance, landscape, and shared histories shaped by conflict and environment.

Galleri Kronborg is thrilled to present its new exhibition: Two Quilts, by Ingeborg Katie Åtland. quilts

The quilts are part of an ongoing work starting in 2019, provoked by a stay on the Lista peninsula with the local husflidslag. The habit of harvesting and plant dyeing has followed Åtland since, and together the quilts make up several thousand colored squares, sewn together by hand. The exhibition at Rundemanen constitutes one of the two quilts.

"Two quilts take on the landscape of Rundemanen, to color with the associated fauna. Throughout the summer I have collected species around Galleri Kronborg. Lichens, moss and fungi are used through various methods with the aim of coloring textile. Fabric is treated through several repetitions of plant dyeing, torn into squares, and sewn together again. In an apparently desolate landscape, you can find lichens that color tones of red. The exhibition presents a textile work colored with 'knappskjold', and hints of brunt 'fargelav'. I rehearse an iterative process of making, a woven work where colored surfaces are presented on their own, and next to the other."

Materials:
untreated cotton textile
waxed flax thread
