Yves Scherer’s sculptural practice blends classical form with contemporary sentiment. His bronze works presented at Market—a goat mid-motion and a stylized dog-and-bird pair—reflect his interest in emotion, gesture, and symbolic storytelling. Rooted in the tradition of figuration but infused with personal tone, Scherer’s sculptures evoke tenderness and quiet humor. They sit between natural observation and sculptural idealism, drawing the viewer into a world where animal figures mirror human feeling and time seems suspended.

Sophie Larrimore (b. 1980, Maryland, US. Lives and works in New York, US) Her paintings and drawings portray animal and human figures in heightened, symbolic scenes. Her use of raw linen, soft color, and delicate line creates compositions that feel at once immediate and timeless. Drawing inspiration
from historical forms such as medieval tapestry and Persian miniatures, Larrimore’s work often explores themes of care, conflict, and emotional nuance. At Market, her works suggest a dreamlike logic—where gesture and posture speak louder
than narrative, and meaning sits just beneath the surface.

Utsikt mot Langøyene, 2025
Tempera grassa, acrylic composite,
and charcoal on jute
180 x 130 cm

We are thrilled to show Peter Mohall’s paintings at Market Art Fair May 15-18th. His paintings explore the relationship between memory, material, and abstraction. Rooted in the landscapes of Scandinavia, his compositions—rendered on jute with tempera grassa, acrylic composite, and charcoal—evoke scenes of stillness and quiet observation. At Market, Mohall presents two coastal landscapes that merge personal recollection with formal clarity, using his signature
cast brushstrokes to emphasize repetition, surface, and structure. His work reconsiders painting as a meditative and methodical process, grounded in lived experience.

ART FAIR • We are exited to show these beautiful works from Charlie Roberts at Market Art Fair May 15-18th.

His paintings depict solitary figures immersed in quiet moments—lounging, writing, or pausing mid-thought—surrounded by carefully constructed interior worlds. These scenes are rendered in flashe, oil, and acrylic with a flat,
graphic clarity that draws from pop culture, design, and architectural detail. With stylized forms, muted palettes, and intimate scale, Roberts transforms everyday gestures into emotionally charged tableaux.

At Market Art Fair, his works feel cinematic yet unassuming—compositions that capture stillness, sensitivity, and the subtle tension of looking inward while gazing outward.

“Julius Karoubi’s artworks are not paintings, but they’re not so far from being paintings that you can’t test out the idea that they might be. Echoes of Matisse, traces of Pop Art, but also something structuralist and programmatic in its methods - Robert Ryman maybe - and then something much more West Coast and postmodern. Freestyle, but it’s controlled, not at all expressionistic. Just as in any other discipline, you put in the hard work so you can make it look easy. You assemble the labour.”
