Art by Bente Lindvig

My art is my life ! I continually search for new expressions and impressions, closely connected to music, literature, nature and my old and new houses.

People - important subject! I write poetry - combine the colours and the lines in my work. Tar gjerne imot i tunet -men det må avtales på forhånd.

Nature and elements !Once upon a time there were these figures coming to life! Phantasy- angels? What is it all about? In these beautiful times in may I find my ceramic works - well helped by my colleague Johannes. They are out- they are in. And are still around ! You may find me here !

Once upon a time - in 1987 I was fascinated by butterflies- and still am fascinated - by butterflies. This oil painting started with a study of butterflies and ended up to be an elf . Or what do You see?

Stories are here to be told ! About 50 years ago Dagbladet- a newspaper edited all over the country accepted two of my poems. I put it under pseudonym Margaritten. Last year Klassekampen accepted a poem of mine.50 years in between and my poem was used in a program in church here. Now i work with my writing and hope to make a book with short texts and paintings.Wish me luck !

Roots -trees and tears

03/03/2026

Small sketches- small stories! We are all growing out from a root of a tree and carry all these stories. In the windows you may find your story - in the figures you may find yourself. And spring will come again. And how do we look at our tree?

My latest art project was in our beautiful church in the village - Seljord. I made a program with Vidar on his beautiful violin,Kjetil with his fine support, Geir, the "light-man" -My little Friend Janne who danced and Dmitri reading on of my poems. I had put together a program with my art from the last 20 years, poems and reflections called:We are walking on our paths- together and alone.my paintings were wonderfully shown on the the 1000year stone walls in the church .Quite magic- were the words from the audience! Once in a lifetime?
