In the late 1980s, Lena Szankay abandoned her literature studies and moved from Buenos Aires to West Berlin to study photography. Little did she know that months later she would witness one of the key events of the 20th century: the fall of the Wall and the dissolution of the GDR (German Democratic Republic). The photographs in this exhibition construct a visual narrative that sensitively interweaves the personal and the historical, a diary of the urban and political transformations of that city and the life story of a young artist in the making. The title alludes to a distant world, outside a system of decoding, a metaphor for mysterious territories with their own codes.

Sebastián González finalista del 2026 Nikon Emerging Photographer Award.

A pocos días de iniciar nuestra tercera participación en Photo London, recibimos la noticia de que Sebastián Gonzalez, fotógrafo representado y nominado al premio por nuestra galería, es uno de los 8 finalistas al 2026 Nikon Emerging Photographer Award.

De esta forma, la obra “Escalas Temporales” (2025) será exhibida en el espacio Nikon en Photo London, junto a de los otros 7 finalistas. El anuncio del ganador se realizará este jueves 14 de mayo.

Sebastián González is a finalist for the 2026 Nikon Emerging Photographer Award.

Just a few days before our third participation in Photo London, we received the exciting news that Sebastián, a photographer represented by our gallery, has been nominated for this prestigious award.

Consequently, his work Escalas Temporales (2025) will be exhibited in the Nikon space at Photo London, alongside the other finalists’ work. The winner will be announced on Thursday, 14 May.

Su obra se podría definir como una arquitectura visual que despliega percepciones de lugar a partir de la construcción de imágenes austeras y de limpieza formal. Tanto en el retrato, como en el paisaje natural y urbano, y la arquitectura, géneros que revisa continuamente, sus imágenes
fluyen funcional y naturalmente, sintetizando una imagen fotográfica que articula momentos de
contemplación y reflexión.

Último día para visitar .artofficial

Estamos en el stand A4 con obra de Javier Silva, una de las figuras más relevantes de la fotografía
artística en el Perú. Su trabajo se ha centrado de manera predominante en el retrato, género que ha desarrollado con una profundidad y consistencia poco comunes, aunque también ha explorado de forma significativa el paisaje como parte de su aproximación al territorio.

La serie “Neo-Haucos” de forma parte del proyecto “Y, ¿qué hacemos con nuestra historia?, el cual nace tras una residencia de la artista en el Museo Larco de Lima, tomando como inspiración la colección de ceramios de la cultura Mochica. Para esta investigación visual Ana usa diversas técnicas manuales y digitales, utilizando referencias locales y foráneas, antiguas y contemporáneas.
