Bernardo Gura Glomar is from Bulan, Sorsogon. Growing up, he was able to witness the hardships of life and the challenges that made him strong. He was raised by his parents, who were farmers, with love. His situation inspired him to create his own toys from any materials that were found inside their house and surroundings.

Since then, his love for and interest in creating arts and crafts have developed. It took him 30 years as an apprentice before he started making his own creations in brass sculpture. He has experienced different kinds of work in order to earn a living.

Working for over 30 years under the famous sculptor Michael Cacnio and his family inspired him to rekindle his love of arts and crafts. The recent recognition from the people has strengthened his inspiration to continue and create more arts and crafts made of brass.

Yesterday’s art class was a success 🎨

We were joined by art enthusiasts as young as 5 and as young at heart as 67. Everyone had a great time with the activity—what started as a quiet room slowly turned lively as the students began to connect, share, and enjoy the creative process together.

Thank you, Jascha, for guiding and inspiring our students! 💛

Michael Pastorizo is a Filipino painter based in Malabon, Metro Manila, whose artistic journey is rooted in passion and self-discovery. A graduate of Malabon Community College with an associate degree in Business Management, he pursued his love for art independently, refining his craft through years of exploration and experimentation. Having participated in numerous group exhibitions both locally and abroad, Pastorizo has built a growing presence in the visual arts scene. While he began with abstract themes, his continued dedication eventually led him to develop a distinct, personal style often described as “dreamlike” by viewers.

Pastorizo’s works draw inspiration from rural landscapes and farms, reimagined through a lens of poetic abstraction. He seeks to capture the primitive beauty of these environments, while reflecting on their hidden structures, symbolism, and transformation over time. His compositions explore the balance between chaos and order, fusing elements that are both organic and architectural, ornate yet serene. For Pastorizo, painting is not only a form of expression but a continuous act of courage and curiosity revealing new layers of meaning with each piece.
