An exhibition by the Araut Visual Artists Collective - AVAC

We opened ABOUT TIME with a meaningful ribbon cutting led by AVAC advisers Jesseca Abiera and Fr. Toto Manaay.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the opening truly special. We are grateful to our artists, staff, parents, and supporters who helped in many ways and shared in the celebration.

The exhibition runs until March 21, 2026. We invite you to visit and experience the works.

21 February - 21 March 2026

Magnet Gallery presents ABOUT TIME, a group exhibition of artclocks by the Araut Visual Artists Collective - AVAC, opening on 21 February. The exhibition began during one of the collective’s recent art jam sessions, where a conversation about Sir Rock Drilon’s Artclocks sparked renewed interest among members. First produced in 1999 and exhibited at the Ayala Museum in Paean to Time, the concept was revisited and quickly turned into a shared creative activity.

What started with only a few participants gradually grew, with nearly thirty artists signing up to create their own artclocks. Working with an open theme and medium, each artist approached the round clock in a personal way. Some pieces reflect directly on time, while others draw from memory, routine, and lived experience. Together, the works show a range of styles shaped by a common format.

ABOUT TIME brings together both longtime members and new participants of the collective. The exhibition highlights how a simple prompt can lead to varied interpretations and conversations within the group. Through these works, time becomes something to observe, record, and reinterpret.

We warmly invite you to join us for the opening reception on 21 February at Magnet Gallery and to spend time with this thoughtful presentation. Your presence continues to support the growing artistic community of Dumangas.
