Today, we were honored to welcome faculty members fromMarinduque State University-College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences who visited the Natural Science Museum for their benchmarking activity. It was also a wonderful moment to reconnect with two of their faculty members who are proud alumni of the Department of Biological Sciences. Their visit made the occasion even more meaningful as we exchanged insights and experiences in the field of biological sciences and museum management.

We’re so lucky to have Ms. Vinmae B. Dingal from the National Museum of the Philippines–Dumaguete, along with her sister Ms. Meljean B. Dingal, visit the Natural Science Museum last May 5, 2026.

It was a meaningful opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss the Mobile Museum Boxes, including how the Natural Science Museum developed the concept and preserved the specimens to ensure their longevity.

The BS Marine Biology 2nd and 4th year students, together with their faculty from MSU-Naawan, visited the Natural Science Museum for their Educational Field Trip under MRB 147 (Systematics, Biodiversity, and Evolution) last April 27–28, 2026.

It was a pleasure to host such an enthusiastic group of learners dedicated to exploring the richness of biodiversity and the principles of evolution. We hope that your visit provided meaningful insights, enriched your academic journey, and deepened your appreciation for the natural world.

Preschool learners from 𝐑𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐠𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 successfully conducted their educational tour at the Natural Science Museum – MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology last April 10, 2026.

The visit provided young learners with an engaging introduction to the wonders of science through interactive and child-friendly exhibits. With 27 preschoolers, together with their teacher and parents/guardians, the activity highlighted the value of experiential learning in building foundational knowledge and appreciation for the natural world.

Opportunities such as this highlight the importance of creating accessible and meaningful learning spaces that encourage curiosity, exploration, and a deeper appreciation of science among young learners. ⭐️📝

All the way from Ozamiz City, the Natural Science Museum – MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology warmly welcomed the 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 during their educational field trip on March 13, 2026.

The visit provided the students with the opportunity to explore the Terrestrial Biodiversity Museum and Marine Museum, as well as selected facilities of the College of Science and Mathematics, including the Chemistry and Biology laboratories and the Premier Research Institute of Science and Mathematics (PRISM). Through this activity, students were able to gain valuable insights into biodiversity, natural science collections, and scientific research environments.

The Natural Science Museum – MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology is pleased to welcome the Kindergarten 2 and Grade 6 students of 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 on February 19, 2026, as part of their annual educational visit.

This longstanding tradition reflects the institution’s commitment to enriching classroom learning through experiential education. The museum visit provides students with the opportunity to explore and appreciate wildlife, as well as diverse marine and terrestrial life forms featured in the museum’s collection.

Through partnerships with schools and learning institutions, the museum continues to promote scientific awareness, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of the natural world among young learners.

The Natural Science Museum - MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology successfully hosted the 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐛𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐊 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 on March 3, 2026.

A total of 65 preschool learners visited the museum as part of their educational enrichment activity aligned with their classroom lessons. The visit provided the children with an engaging and meaningful learning experience through guided exploration of the museum’s scientific exhibits.

“From students to storytellers of Mindanao’s wild.”

Grade 12 students of Iligan City National High School stepped into the role of tour guides at the Natural Science Museum, confidently sharing their knowledge of the different species found across Mindanao. Through guided discussions, animals and specimens came alive as stories of biodiversity and conservation.

As they welcomed visitors from Esperanza National High School, the ICNHS students created an engaging exchange of learning—answering questions, sparking curiosity, and inspiring appreciation for the island’s rich natural heritage. It was a student-led experience where knowledge was shared, voices were heard, and discovery was celebrated.

ICNHS immersion students brought the Museum Mobile Boxes to ICI-Kapatagan for a one-day exhibition, sharing animals and specimens that sparked curiosity and awe. Each box opened a new view of nature, turning learning into an engaging experience.

As they guided ICI students and SPED students, the immersion students discussed the animals inside the mobile boxes with clarity and care. It was a day of shared voices and curious choices—where learning rhymed with inclusion, and discovery reached everyone.

“Every specimen has a story—today, they listened.”

Students of St. Jude Thaddeus High School, Inc. explored the wonders of the natural world at the MSU-IIT College of Science and Mathematics Natural Science Museum, where animals and preserved specimens sparked curiosity and excitement. Each exhibit offered a closer look at biodiversity and the intricate balance of life.

With guidance from the ICNHS students, the visit turned into an engaging journey of discovery—observing, asking, and understanding nature beyond what is usually seen. It was a meaningful experience that inspired appreciation, awareness, and a deeper connection to the living world.
