The NHCP Museum of Philippine Economic History was honored to welcome Her Excellency Dana Kursh, Ambassador of Israel to the Philippines, together with Israeli Consul to the Philippines Moti Cohen, during their meaningful visit to the museum.

The visit highlighted the enduring friendship between the Philippines and Israel, fostering cultural understanding and appreciation of the countryโ€™s rich economic and historical heritage. We are grateful for the opportunity to share the museumโ€™s stories and collections that reflect the resilience, progress, and shared values of our nations.

The NHCP Museum of Philippine Economic History warmly welcomed 35 guests from Sulu and Tawi-Tawi as part of their learning visit to Iloilo City.The delegation is composed of seaweed producers, representatives from the Ministry of Fisheries and Agrarian Reform, local government units, and Mindanao State Universityโ€“Tawi-Tawiโ€”traveled to Iloilo to deepen their understanding of aquaculture and the fisheries industry through their engagement with SEAFDEC/AQD.

Bumabati ang Pambansang Komisyong Pangkasaysayan ng Pilipinas sa lahat ngayong Araw ng Paggawa.

Sa bisa ng Act No. 1818 (30 Abril 1908), itinalaga ang unang araw ng Mayo bilang Araw ng Paggawa. Pinanatili ito sa bisa ng Administrative Code of 1987 (Executive Order No. 292, 25 Hulyo 1987). Sarado ngayong araw ang punong tanggapan at mga museo ng NHCP sa buong bansa.

Bilang pakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Taon ng Kasaysayang Diplomatiko at Diaspora na Pilipino, tampok natin ang mga kababayan nating nangibang-bayan upang magtrabaho at buhayin ang kanilang pamilya. Sa ating poster makikita ang ilang Pilipino magsasaka na nag-aani ng letsugas sa Imperial Valley, California, Estados Unidos noong 1937. Bagaman mabigat ang bitbit, makikita sa kanilang tindig ang sipag at dangal nilang taglay.

Nagpupugay tayo sa lahat ng mga nagtatrabaho nang marangal, noon at ngayon, sa loob at labas ng Pilipinas, ngayong Araw ng Paggawa.

Today is International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace, and it is a good time to congratulate our colleagues for mounting the exhibit, "IMPETUS โ€“ Carlos P. Romulo: Architect of Diplomacy" last Monday, 20 April 2026, at the NHCP Presidential Car Museum, Quezon City.

The exhibit features objects in the Romulo Collection of the NHCP and the Carlos P. Romulo Foundation for Peace and Development.

Other objects in the Romulo Collection of the NHCP have been displayed in other museums. For example, exhibited in our museum are two rosaries gilt in gold and silver and an intricately decorated cross pendant.

These gives us a glimpse not only to the skill involved in creating them, but also the central role of faith in the Romulo family and the diplomatic work of its patriarch, Carlos P. Romulo.

Visit both our museums on Tuesdays to Sundays, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
