time-honored skill passed down for five generations in our community. And while you're here, enjoy a cup of our spec

Haboean collaborates with sisters Frhyne Danan (Fregelina Bridal) and Criz Danan (The Trekker Artist of KURIS) as facilitators for a hands-on session on hand embroidery and upcycling. The activity invites participants to reuse existing materials and stitch together their own keepsakes and photos in the relaxed setting of a weaving studio, creating small pieces that can be bound or framed as personal artworks.

This session is part of Design Week Philippines 2025, guided by the theme Ginhawa, which highlights wellness, balance, and meaningful connection through design.

We’ve set aside a small corner for play 🎨
The Worktable at Haboean is now open. Painting kits come with canvas, brushes, and colors to get you started. Pair with coffee or cake from the café, and spend a quiet afternoon here. We keep the Worktable light, so no full meals here.

Php 300 – kit only
Php 500 – kit + guided session with an artist (must be scheduled in advance)

It was an honor to welcome Senator Bam Aquino for a special lunch with some of his supporters here at Haboean ✨ His daughter Rory also tried weaving piña, a craft that has long been part of Aklan’s heritage.

He was presented with a piña barong specially crafted by the weavers of Kalibo, along with a painting created on the spot by one of our resident artists Carl.

The visit came just before Ninoy Aquino Day, a time to remember the values Ninoy stood for and to reflect on how legacies continue, whether through family, community or the traditions we keep alive.
