Ang orihinal na retablo ng simbahan ng Lucban bago masira noong panahon ng ikalawang digmaang pandaigdig. Maraming salamat po sa mga historyador sa nagpahiram ng mga lumang larawan ng simbahan upang mabuo ko ang tunay na hitsura ng retablo. Maraming kinatok at kinausap para mabuo ang obrang ito.
