The Rice Science Museum joins the celebration of Filipino Food Month 2025 to honor the rich flavors, history, and culture of our local cuisine!

With the theme “Sarap ng Pagkaing Pilipino, Yaman ng Kasaysayan, Kultura at Pagkatao,” we highlight the deep connection between our food, identity, and heritage.

Let’s come together to appreciate the traditions that make Filipino food unique, support our local farmers and culinary artists, and pass on these flavors to future generations!

BINHI ang susi. 🤩

Sa naganap na Lakbay Palay ngayong araw, binaon ng ating higit 700 nating mga ka-Palay ang mensaheng “Pag dekalidad ang binhi, mas mataas ang ani, mas matibay laban sa peste at sakit, at mas angkop sa pabago-bagong klima.”

Ang mga ka-Palay na dumalo ay mula La Union, Pangasinan, Isabela, Zambales, Tarlac, at Nueva Ecija.

Alam mo ba? Hindi lang sa tahanan, kundi maging sa bukirin, may mahalagang papel ang kababaihan sa bawat yugto ng produksyon ng palay, bigas, at kanin! 🤩

Ngayong buwan ng kababaihan, ipagdiwang natin nang buong pagmamalaki ang kanilang lakas, talino, at walang sawang dedikasyon sa agrikultura. 👩‍🔧🌾

Ms. Lorelie Vee C. Domingo plays a significant role in Women's Month celebration by contributing her knowledge, skills, and leadership to the tourism industry. Her role as Lead PhilRice Frontline Educator can inspire other woman to pursue careers in this field and demonstrate the importance of female leadership in diverse professional spaces.

She plays an essential role by ensuring, safe, inclusive and meaningful rice-science educational experience among visiting learners, farmers and collaborators. Moreover, promoting gender equality in agriculture and tourism, especially during Women's Month. By empowering women to lead in these industries, she helps create a more inclusive and sustainable tourism sector. Her initiatives highlight the importance of women’s contributions, celebrating their role in history, culture, and society, while empowering those in tourism.
