Isang Lawa: Beyond Politics

Paroon sa amin, sa dulo pasilangan
Sa baybay ng lawa mo kami masusumpungan
Tinta’t pluma, kahoy man o pintura
Binigyang-buhay buong husay ng mga alagad ng sining at kultura

Iguhit, iukit—ialay nasa puso’t isip
Pakinggan ang tinig, sa mga kulay sumilip
Walang balakid, walang partido't alyansa
Walang bida o kontrabida, trahedya o romansa
Ang daloy ng buhay ay sining, sa sining walang wagas

The lake, both literal and symbolic, becomes a unifying force. Where the rivers end, the lake is - where life begins, where beauty and a deep appreciation for life and the arts flourish. For this is Laguna, the beating heart of the archipelago, where art reflects life in all its currents.

Isang Lawa: Beyond Politics opens on February 15 and runs for 45 days. All are welcome.
