WORLD CONTINENTS DIORAMA EXHIBIT
Exploring Global Cultures Through Tourism Geography

The University of Antique Museum invites students, faculty, and the public to view an academic exhibit featuring student-created dioramas representing the world’s continents through the perspective of tourism geography.

Prepared by BSTM students under TMP3: Global Culture and Tourism Geography, the exhibit presents continental geography, iconic landmarks, cultural highlights, and global traditions relevant to tourism studies.

HUgyAw 2024: Painting Contest

The contest theme:
Edukasyon kag Pag-amlig sa Dunang-Manggad,
Sabat sa Kambyo-Klima kag Natural nga Kalamidad

The theme of the painting contest, which translates to "Education and Natural Resource Preservation as Solution to Climate Change and Natural Calamity," aligns perfectly with the overarching theme of the Hugyaw 2024 celebration, "Transforming Lives and Building Resilient and Sustainable Communities." This highlights the role of Education in empowering individuals and communities to adopt sustainable practices, mitigating climate change and natural calamity risks. By preserving natural resources, we ensure their availability for future generations, supporting community resilience.

The painting contest encourages artists to visually represent this connection, depicting students, communities, and sustainable practices that promote resilience.

We could expect the artworks to convey key messages like education is crucial for sustainable development and climate change mitigation, preserving natural resources ensures community resilience, collective action drives sustainable transformation, and resilient communities thrive through education, innovation, and sustainable practices. Expressing these creative ideas, artists contribute to the Hugyaw celebration's goal of transforming lives and building sustainable communities.

Exhibition Details:

Selected artworks from the painting contest will be showcased in the corridors of the BUsAlian Hall for a week, allowing the university community to appreciate and reflect on the creative expressions.

Following the initial display, the artworks will be permanently exhibited at the University of Antique Museum, serving as a testament to the artistic talents of the participants and the importance of the contest's theme.
