On October 17, 1849, Frédéric Chopin passed away. One of Poland’s greatest composers and pianists, he left behind a remarkable musical legacy that continues to inspire people around the world. 🎹
🎓 Chopin studied at the University of Warsaw and spent ten years living on the grounds of what is now the university’s Main Campus. In 1817, he moved with his parents and siblings into the former Rector’s Building. 🏛
The campus was his home for many years and played an important role in his early life.

The 2nd National Mythology Festival – 2026 Edition: The Roots of European Culture is an initiative that aims to explore how Greek and Roman mythology, along with its cultural heritage, continues to shape and influence the modern world.

W trakcie trzech dni festiwalowych odbędzie się ponad 50 wydarzeń: 34 warsztaty edukacyjne rozwijające kompetencje kulturowe i kreatywność, osiem wykładów, dwa koncerty z elementami warsztatów, panel dyskusyjny pt. Czy Polska leży nad Morzem Śródziemnym?, cztery lekcje biblioteczne, trzy spotkania autorskie oraz interaktywna wystawa edukacyjna pt. Niezwykła podróż Odyseusza i towarzyszące jej trzy kuratorskie oprowadzania w formacie storytellingu.

Organizatorami Festiwalu są: „Varia” Fundacja Nauk Humanistycznych Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego, Muzeum Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego, Wydział „Artes Liberales” Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego i Wydział Archeologii Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego. Partnerem Merytorycznym Festiwalu jest Ośrodek Badań nad Tradycją Antyczną na Wydziale „Artes Liberales” Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego.
