‘The Art of Polish Craft’ is the very first album of contemporary polish design including artists, designers and craftsmen. We are happy to see many of the artists collaborating with Craftica be part of this publication. Many of the works shown in the album are part of Craftica’s program and can be seen in person at our gallery on Ordynacka 11 in Warsaw.

This album is a platform for the artists, redefining the relationship between craft, art and collectible design, while continuing to draw from the depth of Polish material culture. From wood, glass, textiles, ceramics and metal we are invited to explore the diverse ways in which they are transformed through traditional craftsmanship, experimentation, technology and contemporary design.

New works by Mateusz Wiewiórowski, now at Craftica Gallery.

Working in wood, copper and Carrara marble, Wiewiórowski explores survival, power, transformation and belonging. Survivor and Queen speak of endurance and strength, while Becoming and Belonging trace the shifting nature of identity and connection.

This week Homo Faber 2026 opened in Venice, featuring the work of and . We would like to sincerely congratulate the participating artist.

‚La nature est une temple’, straw marquetry cabinet by Zofia Sobolewska Ursic marks a full circle moment. From winning the Kunszt program first, to solo show during Warsaw Gallery Weekend 2025 all the way through to Homo Faber Biennial.

‚Neocrystals’ presented by Katarzyna Harasym explore the notion of repurposing in design methodology. The artist melts the lead glass and crystals from the 60s and reworks the surface of the glass, altering its original character and revealing new, experimental textures.

This year’s edition, curated by , brought together over 400 makers from around the world, creating a spectacularly staged exploration of contemporary craft.

Polish Glass Master in the Home of Artistic Glass.

Katarzyna Harasym joins Homo Faber [ HOMO FABER ] Biennial in Venice, opening September 1st 2026.

Katarzyna Harasym’s (Kaska Harasym ) sculptural glass vessels will be presented at Homo Faber Biennial in Venice, where she also receives a special recognition to be announced shortly.

Harasym works primarily with repurposed crystal objects, transforming existing vessels through processes like slumping, sandblasting, fire-polishing and enamelling. By reshaping and reworking the surface of the glass, she alters its original character and reveals new textures, opacity, color and form - turning familiar objects into unique sculptural pieces.

Following the International Glass Festival in Biot, her presentation at Homo Faber Biennial is parallel to the inclusion of her work at Czuły Punkt Widzenia - a group exhibition at the Institute of Design in Kielce, Poland.

As we begin a new season, we’re taking you inside the studio of Sonia Dubois and the process behind her Lueur lamps — works born from her longstanding practice in linocut. For Sonia, the carved surface of linocut is a study in texture and relief. She discovered a way to translate these qualities into design by merging the language of linocut with light, allowing illumination to reveal and intensify the textures of the carved forms.

This dialogue between printmaking and light became the foundation of the Lueur series: sculptural lamps in which texture is not simply a surface, but an essential part of the experience. When illuminated, each piece comes alive through shadow, relief, and changing intensity.
A distinctive example of how an artistic practice can evolve into collectible design — retaining the intimacy of the handmade while becoming an object for the interior.
