O Projeto OGR celebra hoje o "Dia dos Vice-Reis" e uma oferenda muito especial!

Com o apoio da Fundação Oriente India e a cortesia da Museus e Monumentos de Portugal, EPE e do Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, impressões em tamanho real dos retratos dos 3 Vice-Reis de Lisboa rumaram a Goa e estão já expostos junto da restante coleção no .

É um gesto simbólico que permitirá ao público ter conhecimento da existência destas obras, que ficaram em Portugal no contexto de uma intervenção de restauro dos anos 50, e que se encontram incorporadas na coleção do MNAA desde 1982.

The OGR Project celebrates today the “Vice-King’s Day" with a very special offering!

With the support of the Fundação Oriente and the courtesy of the MMP, EPE and MNAA, life-size prints of the portraits of the 3 Vice-Roys of Lisbon have traveled to Goa and are now on display alongside the rest of the collection at the Archaeological Museum-Velha Goa.

This symbolic, but meaningful gesture will allow the public to learn about the existence of these works. In the 1950’s, they were brought to Portugal for restoration, but not yet returned and are currently part of the MNAA collection since 1982.

Durante a última missão no Museu Arqueológico de Velha Goa, a equipa do Projeto Old Goa Revelations recebeu a visita de uma equipa de reportagem da SIC que procurava perceber quais os vestígios da presença portuguesa em Goa, nas vésperas de se comemorarem os 50 anos do retomar das relações diplomáticas entre Portugal e a Índia. É uma reportagem muito interessante e podem-nos encontrar ao minuto 16:50

During the last mission at the Archaeological Museum-Velha Goa, the team of project Old Goa Revelations were visited by a crew from SIC TV network. They were looking to understand the traces of Portuguese presence in Goa, just before the 50th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations between Portugal and India. OGR is introducing its first pilot project, STEM2ACT: Smart Technologies for Environmental Monitoring. Action Alliance for Culture and Climate in the Tropics, a partnership involving HERCULES Laboratory, the Chair of Sustainable Heritage at City University Macau, the Mechatronics Department and Arteria Lab from the University of Évora, the Italian firm DATA 0/1, and the University of Ghent, in collaboration with the Archaeological Survey of India, the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman, MoCA - The Museum of Christian Art, and the Goa School of Architecture, University of Goa.

Last week and supported by Fundação Oriente India, fieldwork was conducted in Goa by Teresa Teves Reis, Mainardo Gaudenzi Asinelli and David Teves Reis to introduce the project to our partners, assess the needs of the institutions, and gather on-site information for optimizing the monitoring system and devices for this specific latitude and the selected case studies.
