A Quinta do Terreiro Velho, em Favaios, está integrada no Alto Douro Vinhateiro. A Vila de Favaios*, está localizada
num planalto no sopé da Serra do Vilarelho, concelho de Alijó, distrito de Vila Real, província de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, no nordeste de Portugal. Esta vasta Região Demarcada do Douro é a mais antiga região vitícola regulamentada do mundo. Classificada pela UNESCO como Património da Humanidade em 2001. Situada numa zona privilegiada da Vila de Favaios, a Quinta do Terreiro Velho pode ser vista da Igreja Matriz, da Capela de Santa Bárbara, da Capela de São Paio e do Museu do Pão e do Vinho (Obra). Sendo a viticultura a actividade por excelência deste lugar, outros potenciais foram sendo esquecidos mas, com os nossos projectos, iniciativa e alguma criatividade, a seu tempo, iremos pôr em prática. Quer pela parte do pai como pela parte da mãe, o engenho e a arte sempre estiveram presentes nas nossas vidas. Assim, e com a nossa natural facilidade para as artes plásticas e decorativas estamos empenhadas na criação de vários tipos de objectos bem como em dar uma nova vida a peças mais antigas e no desenvolvimento de outros projectos. The Quinta do Terreiro Velho, in Favaios, is integrated in the Alto Douro Wine Region. The Village of Favaios *, is located on a plateau at the foot of the Sierra Vilarelho, Alijó municipality, Vila Real district, province of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, in northern Portugal. This vast Douro demarcated region is the oldest regulated wine region in the world. A UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. Located in a privileged area of Favaios Village, Quinta do Terreiro Velho can be seen from the main church, the Chapel of Santa Barbara, the Chapel of São Paio and the Museum of Bread and Wine (Obra). As the viticulture is the activity par excellence of this place, other potentials have been forgotten but, with our projects, initiative and some creativity, in time, we will put it into practice. Either by the father’s side, as by the mother’s, the ingenuity and art have always been present in our lives. Thus, and with our natural facility for plastic and decorative arts we are engaged in the creation of various types of objects as well as to give a new life to older furnishings and the development of other projects.
