𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐋𝐨𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬 é um ciclo de cinema semanal com curadoria de Andy Rector (.slang) que acontece em 6 sessões entre 25 de fevereiro e 1 de abril, sempre às 18h na galeria -1. Apresentado formato cineclube, este ciclo reúne filmes realizados em Los Angeles entre 1914 e 2013, propondo um retrato fragmentado da cidade enquanto território cinematográfico singular, atravessado por múltiplas realidades sociais, culturais e formais.

𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐋𝐨𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬 is a weekly film series curated by Andy Rector (.slang), presented over six sessions between 25 February and 1 April, always at 6 pm in gallery -1. Presented in cineclub format, the series brings together films made in Los Angeles between 1914 and 2013, offering a fragmented portrait of the city as a singular cinematic territory shaped by multiple social, cultural and formal realities.

Um projeto curatorial de Sofía Hernandez Chong Cuy que converteu o espaço expositivo em lugar de aprendizagem, reflexão e partilha. Com mais de 30 obras da Coleção Julião Sarmento, estão patentes obras de Alejandro Cesarco, Alighiero Boetti, Céline Condorelli, Fernanda Fragateiro, Filipa César, Gabriel Kuri, Joana Bastos, Juan Araujo, Julião Sarmento, Komar & Melamid e Yonamine. Art is a Matter of Consciousness closes on Sunday, 15 February. Curated by Sofía Hernandez Chong Cuy, the exhibition transformed the gallery into a space for learning, reflection and exchange.

Featuring more than 30 works from the Julião Sarmento Collection, the exhibition presents works by Alejandro Cesarco, Alighiero Boetti, Céline Condorelli, Fernanda Fragateiro, Filipa César, Gabriel Kuri, Joana Bastos, Juan Araujo, Julião Sarmento, Komar & Melamid and Yonamine.

Partilhamos alguns momentos do lançamento do livro Julião Sarmento: o Atelier, de André Cepeda (), que teve lugar no passado dia 31 de janeiro.
Publicado cinco anos após a morte de Julião Sarmento, este ensaio fotográfico reúne cerca de 60 imagens do atelier onde o artista trabalhou durante 17 anos, numa edição n numerada e assinda de 500 exemplares.
O livro encontra-se agora disponível para venda na loja do Pavilhão Julião Sarmento.

We share a few moments from the launch of André Cepeda’s book Julião Sarmento: the Studio, which took place on January 31.

Published five years after Julião Sarmento’s death, this photographic essay brings together around 60 images of the studio where the artist worked for 17 years, in a numbered and signed limited edition of 500 copies.

The book is now available for purchase at the Pavilhão Julião Sarmento shop.

O Pavilhão Julião Sarmento abriu à cidade no passado mês de junho e afirma-se, desde então, como um novo espaço de referência da arte contemporânea.
Desenhado pelo arquiteto João Luís Carrilho da Graça o convite renova-se: descobrir este novo museu, conhecer as exposições e visitar um espaço que acrescenta novas possibilidades ao mapa cultural da cidade no encontro entre artistas e comunidade.

A curadora Sofía Hernández Chong Cuy apresenta a exposição Art is a Matter of Consciousness.
A partir de mais de 30 obras de artistas nacionais e internacionais, a exposição convida a pensar a criação contemporânea e a relação entre quem a faz, quem observa e o espaço que os aproxima.
O programa público que acompanha a exposição prolonga esta abertura ao diálogo através de exercícios que incluem conversas, seminários, projeção de filmes e workshops.

The curator Sofía Hernández Chong Cuy presents the exhibition Art is a Matter of Consciousness.
Bringing together more than 30 works by national and international artists, the exhibition invites reflection on contemporary artistic creation and on the relationship between those who make it, those who experience it, and the space that brings them together.

The public programme accompanying the exhibition extends this openness to dialogue through a series of exercises that include conversations, seminars, film screenings, and workshops.

No fim de semana passado aconteceram os exercícios # 2 e # 3 do programa público da exposição Art is a Matter of Consciousness, momentos que deram continuidade ao diálogo entre artistas, público e a curadora da exposição em torno da criação contemporânea.

O Exercício # 2 contou com a participação de Juan Araujo, que convidou Sara Bichão, André Romão e António Júlio Duarte. Ao longo de um conjunto de conversas abertas, os artistas partilharam referências, processos e formas de pensar a prática artística. No mesmo dia, Joana Bastos apresentou a sua obra Olhos de açúcar.

O Exercício # 3 foi uma visita guiada conduzida pela curadora Sofía Hernández Chong Cuy aprofundando a abordagem curatorial da exposição.

Last weekend, Exercises #2 and #3 of the public program for the exhibition Art is a Matter of Consciousness took place, further extending the dialogue between artists, audiences, and the exhibition’s curator on contemporary artistic practice.

Exercise # 2 featured Juan Araujo, who invited Sara Bichão, André Romão, and António Júlio Duarte. Throughout a series of open conversations, the artists shared references, processes, and ways of thinking about artistic practice. On the same day, Joana Bastos presented her work Olhos de açúcar.

Exercise # 3 consisted of a guided tour led by the curator, Sofía Hernández Chong Cuy, deepening the curatorial approach of the exhibition.
