With a multifaceted approach and a very distinctive vision, artist Flávio Horta creates a piece that blends lessons from the past with the uncertainty of the present. In 'O Silêncio Guarda o Nome das Coisas', every shadow, every texture, every stroke, every detail creates a mystery whose solution can only be found in silence.

Using mixed media on an 80x80cm canvas, the artist brings to life a woman whose secrets are the soul of this art. Looking closely, we also realise that there is so much noise in silence.

Com uma abordagem multifacetada e uma visão muito própria, o artista Flávio Horta cria uma obra que combina as aprendizagens do passado com a incerteza do presente. Em 'O Silêncio Guarda o Nome das Coisas', cada sombra, cada textura, cada traço, cada detalhe cria um mistério cuja solução só se pode encontrar no silêncio.

Através de técnica mista sobre uma tela de 80x80cm, o artista dá vida a uma mulher cujos segredos são a alma desta arte. Olhar com atenção também é perceber que há tanto barulho no silêncio.

We enter artist Antonio Barahona's 'El Patio Azul' and immediately feel an invisible embrace pulling us in. The coolness of the walls in cold tones contrasts with the rays of sunshine warming the floor of this patio, created in oil on a 60x90cm canvas.

How nice it is to look around and feel the warmth of a familiar place. Antonio Barahona's style creates a comforting reality that welcomes us with open arms and where we want to stay as if we were at home. This place is more than a patio, it is a way of life that extends beyond the painting.

Entramos no 'El Patio Azul' do artista Antonio Barahona e sentimos imediatamente um abraço invisível que nos puxa. A frescura das paredes em tons frios contrasta com os raios de Sol que aquecem o chão deste pátio que se ergue em óleo sobre uma tela de 60x90cm.

Como é bom olhar em volta e sentir o aconchego de um sítio familiar. O estilo de Antonio Barahona cria uma realidade reconfortante que nos recebe de braços abertos e onde queremos ficar como que em casa. Este lugar é mais do que um pátio, é uma forma de vida que se estende para lá do quadro.

The artist Stela Barreto invites us to walk through her 'Recriações Imprecisas VI', created in acrylic on a 90x90cm canvas. Is abstract art an imprecise recreation of a reality we do not know? When we look at an abstract work, we do not see it for what it is but rather for what we are.

The thickness of the line, the intensity of the colour, the texture of the canvas. All these elements are parts of a whole that becomes much greater. A recreation that, even though it is imprecise, stands on its own.

A artista Stela Barreto convida-nos a caminhar pelas suas 'Recriações Imprecisas VI', que nascem em acrílico sobre uma tela de 90x90cm. Será arte abstrata uma recriação imprecisa de uma realidade que não conhecemos? Quando olhamos para uma obra abstrata, não vemos o que é mas sim o que somos.

A espessura do traço, a intensidade da cor, a textura da tela. Todos estes elementos são partes de um todo que se torna muito maior. Uma recriação que, mesmo sendo imprecisa, vale por si mesma.

Bright colours and strong contrasts are the protagonists in the works of artist Ernesto Meis. In his piece 'Little Houses', the intense blue of the sky embraces the houses in an intangible hug. Painted in acrylic on a 56x112cm canvas, the little houses rest as if in a sleep from which they don't want to wake up.

The intensity of the colours catches our attention and invites us to enter this almost playful reality. If we listen carefully, we can almost hear a light breeze blowing. Curious, we wonder what the view from the windows of these houses might be like.

Na sua obra 'Little Houses', o azul do céu faz sentir a sua presença intensa que envolve as casas num abraço intangível. Em acrílico sobre uma tela de 56x112cm, as pequenas casas repousam como que num sono do qual não querem acordar.

A intensidade das cores prende a nossa atenção e convida-nos a entrar nesta realidade quase lúdica. Se ouvirmos com atenção, quase se nota uma leve brisa que sobra. Curiosos, perguntamo-nos como será a vista das janelas destas casas.

Above us, arches stand tall, leading us to a destination. Ahead, a panel of tiles creates beautiful shapes that stare back at us. In his piece 'Arco dos Azulejos', artist Fonseca Martins brings a dreamlike place to life. In oil on a 55x46cm canvas, light tones pave the way for serene meditation.

As in a dream, we do not know where this path leads us, but we cannot resist the urge to follow it. The many flowers and plants welcome us and make us believe that we are on the right path.

Por cima de nós, erguem-se arcos que nos conduzem a um destino. Ao fundo, um painel de azulejos cria bonitas formas que nos encaram. Na sua obra 'Arco dos Azulejos', o artista Fonseca Martins faz nascer um local onírico. Em óleo sobre uma tela de 55x46cm, os tons claros abrem caminho para uma meditação serena.

Como num sonho, não sabemos para onde nos leva este caminho, mas não resistimos à vontade de o fazer. As várias flores e plantas dão-nos as boas-vindas e fazem-nos crer que estamos no caminho certo.
