Phone-photos from PETRICHOR with Ivar Lövheim, Mija Renström & Peter Ojstersek in July.
’The scent that rises from the earth when the rain returns after a long drought— a reminder that something new can grow from the still, the hidden, the forgotten.’
This exhibition was the meeting of three artists in a room in Gerlesborg, a joint exploration of time, the presence of nature and the landscape of memory.

Some phone-photos from Z i Z i , and exhibition in Gerlesborg with Johan Engqvist & Karin Ström June-July this summer.
The room was a powerful visual experience sourced from ‘popular culture, craft, and decorative motifs, to historic avant-garde art’ (Engqvist.)
Ström collects color combinations and explores the intuitive use of materials and construction methods.

Tourist Go Home
The artists behind “Tourist Go Home”, Selma Lindhe and John Dexter Zetterquist, recently made a train journey through Europe that laid the foundation for the exhibition. The works are inspired by everything from sun damaged information boards and vandalized vehicles to absurd advertising and questionable tourism.

About the artists:

Selma Lindhe (b. 2002) works with image and sculpture, often using collage and assemblage techniques where she combines styleless images and found objects, often material abandoned in the streets or in trash containers. Her work revolves around themes such as freedom, control, and humor, where the unexpected and playful meet the conceptual. Lindhe is currently studying Fine Art at HDK-Valand in Gothenburg.

John Dexter Zetterquist’s (b. 2001) process is spontaneous and the works are often created in a rush, as if the order of the world ceases until he’s finished. His gaze is searching around the clock, finding inspiration in construction sites and misty forest groves, to internet feeds and experimental film. His Ideas often take the form of sculptures and drawings where composition and absurdity is highlighted.

Honored to have the pleasure of showing Karin Ström once more at Allmänna Konsthall, this time in Gerlesborgs Konsthall together with Johan Engqvist:~) Opening June 22nd! See you there

about the artist:

Karin collects color combinations, symbols and shapes, in the flow on the phone and in the circulation of the city. Things and signs get an alternative life, contemporary forms are shifted and mixed with those of art history.

Lite Bättre Än Alla is a 5-day long exhibition by Sirin Sponga🐑
Open May 29-June 2nd, welcome! Artist talk TBA🫶
Sirin Sponga was selected for this exhibition at Allmänna Konsthall as part of the 4-day music and arts festival that is also opening May 29th

About:
From this age-old, organic material, Sponga then spins yarns with one foot in the physical world and one in the supernatural. Through film and installation she touches on themes such as anthropomorphism, hyper-individualism and suppressed needs.
Fashioned out of raw wool from Hraðastaðir, Iceland and Tromsø, Norway— where Sirin Sponga studied art at the Arctic University of Norway — Clandestino and Allmänna Konsthall are proud to present the Wool God (Ullguden) : a character from her latest film project. A carrier of frustration with the world, a representation of unseen forces, a figure of loneliness.
