Art Philosophy is a new local art gallery and café created by Judie Östling and Sergio López in Rånäs, Stockholm. It is situated in a classic countryside house from 1832 one hour away from Stockholm and Uppsala. Our mindset for Art Philosophy is clear: We aim to enable a space for us to share our taste for local arts, high quality handcrafts & awesome cakes & tapas! We will have exhibitions from our favorite local artists and our visitors will be able to enjoy daily baked cakes, best coffees from around the world and eat some awesome tapas from Spain. Our idea for this project was formed during a 5 months trip throughout South America in 2015. There we experienced the amazing tastes of Costa Rican and Colombian coffee, the incredible treasures found in traditional heritage from pre-Columbian craftsmanship and the mind-blowing beauty of Patagonian nature & wildlife ... and that inspiration brought us to Rånäs one year later ...
