RRMAT
Research Residency on Methods of Artistic Thinking
RRMAT is a process-based residency exploring artistic thinking as a collective, embodied, and experimental practice.
Bringing together artists from different disciplines, the residency creates space for experimentation, dialogue, material exploration, intuition, collective exchange, and the transformation of artistic processes through working together.
Rather than focusing on polished outcomes, RRMAT functions as a temporary laboratory for unfinished ideas, risk-taking, uncertainty, translation, memory, collective transformation, spatial thinking, and shared inquiry.
Throughout one week, participants will move through a series of workshops, collective exercises, conversations, and public encounters exploring how artistic thinking continuously shifts through material, context, perception, and collaboration.
The residency will take place at StudioABC / KonsthallenABC in Stockholm from August 3–9, 2026.
Participation is free of charge.
Accommodation is not included.
We are looking for artists open to experimentation, collective processes, dialogue across disciplines, and unfamiliar ways of working.
