One of ARKADEMIE Studio's most challenging and exciting projects - fully bespoke leather chef's knife sheath made for a discerning professional chef for his handcrafted knife made by Bob Kramer, the legendary knifesmith.

For a beautifully textured Damascus knife blade, we used 12 layers of Italian Buttero Ieather with alternating colours - burgundy and natural - to emulate the waves on the blade, on each side of the sheath. Magnets are embedded into the sheath near to the heel of the knife to prevent the blade from dislodging.

Fully handcrafted with concealed saddle-stitching and polished with gloss wax, the leather sheath is a testimony of the studio's dedication to traditional craftsmanship and attention to details.

New MING THREE PEONIES A6 LEATHER NOTEBOOK COVER in Veridian, Gold & Silver!

Inspired by the Chinese Ming Dynasty ( 14th to 17th century AD ) Blue-and-White ceramic ware in the Singapore's Asian Civilisations Museum's Porcelain Collection, the leather notebook sleeve features the 'three-peonies' motif which signifies the three virtues - loyalty (忠), filial piety (孝), and kindness (仁) - in the Chinese culture.
3-oz SULLY goat leather from the legendary French tannery ALRAN is used for the construction of the cover's exterior. Every petal and leaf is hand-cut and unique, and hand-stitched onto a leather base. Waxed threads are used to strengthen the seams and bind the leather components. Interior lining is made of Italian cowhide leather.

Cover is saddle-stitched for extended durability - a traditional and time-honoured method in fine leathercrafting.

Fits most brands of A6 softcover notebooks, planners and organizers including Grandluxe, Fabriano, Midori, Moleskine, Muji, Monologue, Rhodia, etc.
Pen holder, card holders and a notebook are included with the sleeve. Designed and handmade in Singapore.

3-oz, natural full-grained vegetable-tanned, Japanese FEBRERO cowhide leather journal and notebook cover in A5/A6 portrait format. The cover is fully saddle-stitched by hand - a time-honoured method in leather crafting, which ensure decades of use. It comes with a looped pen holder which fits most drawing pens and mechanical pencils.

The FEBRERO artisanal leather comes from the Tatsuno region of Japan, a historical leather manufacturing district that has been endowed with excellent water source and salt minerals - raw materials for tanning and making high quality leather.

The origami crane, Orizuru, is a symbol of health, longevity, healing and good fortune in the Japanese culture. Often given as token of success, friendship and peace, the Orizuru is also considered the most classic pattern of this centuries-old origami art.

Since ancient times in Japan - the Golden colour has always embodied deep meanings of wealth, power and spirituality - appropriate symbolism of abundance and prosperity for business enterprises.

Full-grained, Italian vegetable tanned leather is used for the construction of the crane article and base, ensuring sufficient stiffness and foldability. Every set of orizuru and base is hand-cut, scored, meticulously folded and hand-stitched.

Waxed threads are used to strengthen the seams and bind the leather components, and the entire piece is saddle-stitched for extended durability - a traditional and time-honoured method in fine leathercrafting.
