Last Friday, we began our Liberation of Singapore commemoration with Heritage in Harmony at Changi Chapel and Museum, an evening of remembrance, history and music.
The evening brought the stories of Singapore’s wartime past to life through reflections, music and the voices of a new generation. Students from the Australian International School performed songs from the wartime Changi Souvenir Song Album, bringing music written by Australian internees at Changi back to the grounds where they were first performed.
We were also honoured to welcome Ms Robyn Mudie, Australian High Commissioner to Singapore alongside our partners, supporters and members of the community.
