Zhou Yiwen
An Artist Rewriting His Own Language

Encountering Zhou Yiwen’s newest works is to witness an artist in active transformation. He has moved beyond the comfort of traditional ink foundations and stepped into a space where discipline, intuition, and contemporary consciousness converge with remarkable clarity.

What distinguishes Zhou is not simply change, but self-directed evolution.
He questions his own boundaries, dismantles familiar structures, and rebuilds with a renewed visual intelligence. His bold chromatic shifts, his refined restraint, and his courage to confront the inner landscape mark an artist who creates from conviction, not convenience.

Zhou does not escape tradition; he dialogues with it.
He does not follow the times; he runs alongside them with his own pace and precision.

Few artists manage such a balance rooted yet forward-moving, technical yet instinctive, reflective yet daring.

His work today signals not a phase, but a trajectory.
And I believe his next chapter will stand as one of the defining artistic voices of his generation.

Zhou Yiwen: Breaking Through Time

Seeing Zhou Yiwen’s latest works, I felt an artist stepping far beyond tradition and into a new creative freedom. He dares to question himself, to break old structures, and to rebuild with clarity, courage, and sincerity.

His colours are bolder, his language sharper, his attitude unwavering.
He doesn’t abandon tradition he elevates it.
He doesn’t chase trends he creates his own rhythm.

Artists like him are rare: rooted yet fearless, disciplined yet free.

I believe his next transformation will be one of the few artistic voices of our time that truly lasts.

At Noisy-le-Grand, design meets utopia in concrete.

Amid the monumental architecture of Ricardo Bofill’s Espaces d’Abraxas and Jacques Kalisz’s Mont d’Est parking, the Galerie Philia unveils “Strates” a design exhibition that feels both poetic and powerfully raw. Set against the theatrical backdrop of towering red pilasters, archways, and colonnades of concrete, these avant-garde creations find themselves in dialogue with one of France’s most striking postmodern landmarks.

More than forty years after its completion in 1983, Bofill’s visionary housing complex Le Palacio, Le Théâtre, and L’Arc still stands as an emblem of utopian ambition and brutalist beauty. Its retro-futuristic geometry and operatic scale have long inspired filmmakers and dreamers alike, from Brazil to The Hunger Games.

Now, with Strates, the space once again becomes a stage this time for designs that are creative, innovative, and quietly powerful. Each piece resonates within the monumental silence of concrete, revealing how form, texture, and material can transcend function to become emotional architecture.

Beautifully layered, Strates celebrates a timeless dialogue between the human imagination and the built world where concrete breathes, and design dares to dream.

Lv Shanchuan: A Visionary Poet of Our Times

In my 36 years as an art curator, observer, and practitioner, I have encountered countless remarkable artists. Yet, the works of Lv Shanchuan have touched me in a uniquely profound way. I have always been drawn to art that seamlessly fuses emotion and form, and Lv’s creations stand as an extraordinary exemplar of this union.

Lv Shanchuan employs a deeply personal artistic language to capture the intricate relationships between humanity and nature, history and modernity. Each of his works resonates like a silent poem, inviting the viewer to feel its power and significance. Only his canvases, I see not merely the interplay of colors and lines but a relentless meditation on life itself and an unwavering commitment to cultural heritage.

As a practitioner in Singapore’s art scene, I hold a particular fascination for art that transcends boundaries and embraces innovation. Lv’s work, rooted in rich cultural traditions, also possesses a universal aesthetic that transcends time and space. This timeless beauty allows his art to integrate seamlessly with cutting-edge technologies like Web3 and NFTs, offering global audiences a revolutionary way to experience his vision.

To me, Lv Shanchuan’s creations carry a quality I describe as “GoldenMountain.” This golden essence is not merely a visual splendor but a profound sense of Spiritual Abundance. This abundance does not belong solely to the artist; it extends to all who connect with his work, resonating deeply within their souls.

Bringing Lv’s art into a new digital dimension is a testament to the enduring value and significance of his oeuvre. In this endeavor, I have come to appreciate how art connects hearts in the most authentic way and how innovative platforms can foster deeper dialogues between artists and a global audience. Lv’s work transcends the confines of traditional galleries, carving out a timeless artistic space in the digital realm.

As a curator, I believe art is more than a visual feast—it is a vessel of emotion and a medium for intellectual exchange. Lv Shanchuan’s work reminds us that the essence of art lies not in its adherence to a particular era or medium
