aNERDgallery is "an-art-gallery" with a fun, engaging and informative twist where we unravel the beauty of Indonesian textile arts. The common question about textile arts that we get is "Why is Batik/Tenun so expensive? I can get it at for less than $20." At aNERDgallery, through the nerdy lens, we aim to unravel the beauty of these garments from both

ancient and contemporary textile artists. From wearable art to home decoration, there are many uses for the these traditional fabric. The mission is simple: to connect artists and collectors so as to promote the interaction to decode, to understand and to appreciate the rich culture, the elegant applications and the historical significance of these ancient art techniques.

FINAL CALL for our signature Batik Tiga Negeri trip.

It is a popular theme as you can sew the best of two worlds - court Batik Pedalaman and North Coast Batik Pesisir - before they become the famous Batik Tiga Negeri. Of course, the chance to chat with the batik makers whom we have worked with and enjoy local delicacies makes this trip a special one!

Opening soon!!! You free hor? Come and catch Agnes Christina 's latest exhibition leh.

You Free Hor? is both an invitation and a jeer - asking if one has spare time or sarcastically suggesting they have too much time on hand. This tongue-in-cheek exhibition presents contradiction and dissects how we, modern cosmopolitan folks, are responding to the notions of time - how we are filling it, stretching it, valuing it and more.

As always, don't forget to follow us often for events and programs happening during the exhibition!
