Vienna’s greatest artistic friendship: Klimt the dreamer, Schiele the rebel.

Egon Schiele was a close friend — almost a protégé — of Gustav Klimt, the famed artist behind The Kiss. 🌟🖼️

And yes, once you know that, the resemblance becomes impossible to unsee. 👀
Both artists shared a fascination with the expressive human body, sensuality, and the emotional tension between intimacy and distance.

But they expressed it differently:
❈ Klimt wrapped his figures in gold, ornament, and dreamlike patterns — beauty as a shimmering surface.
❈ Schiele stripped everything down — exposing the nerves, the psychological weight, the rawness underneath.

Thai contemporary artist Rirkrit Tiravanija is famous for transforming galleries into communal kitchens, where the act of cooking and sharing meals becomes the artwork itself.

Rather than producing objects to hang on walls, he creates interactive, immersive experiences that invite visitors to participate, connect, and reflect.

In his exhibitions, people might sit down together to eat curry, stir-fry, or noodle dishes prepared by the artist — and through this shared experience, the boundaries between artist, audience, and art dissolve.

🎨 Van Gogh painted over 900 works in his lifetime…
but sold only *one* while he was alive.
The painting, “The Red Vineyard,” sold for about 400 francs (around $2,000 today).

Despite his genius, Van Gogh lived in poverty, often trading paintings for food or paint. He died never knowing how deeply his art would move the world — or that his works would one day be worth millions. 💛

💭 Van Gogh painted every day, even without recognition.
