🐔毛梅雷的溫暖日常，織作飛舞的雞與跳舞的人
💃The warmth of everyday life in Maumere was woven into the motifs of the flying chicken and the dancing people.
2025 年 1 月，藝術家馬穎汶Mandy前往位於印尼弗洛雷斯島、以紡織聞名的毛梅雷，在當地藝術團體 Komunitas KAHE的接待下 展開為期八週的駐地，期間師隨技藝精湛的當地織匠 Mama Lin，學習伊卡（ikat）技法。期間，她也邀請稱為mama-mama 的女性織匠們一同設計非傳統的圖案，透過反思自己的身份——不僅身為織工，更包括女性、母親與文化守護者的角色。而Mandy自己也因為毛梅雷的好客熱情與對生命的尊重，創作出「飛舞的雞」及「跳舞的人」圖像。伴隨著紡織作品的聲音是 Komunitas KAHE 成員歌頌生活的喜悅的歌曲。
In January 2025 Ma Wing Man Mandy travelled to Maumere on Flores Island, Indonesia, a place known for its rich textile traditions, where she undertook an eight-week residency hosted by the local art collective Komunitas KAHE. During her stay, she apprenticed with the highly skilled local weaver Mama Lin, learning the ikat technique.She also invited the mama-mama women weavers to co-create non-traditional motifs, encouraging them to reflect on their identities not only as weavers, but also as women, mothers, and cultural guardians. The warmth and hospitality of Maumere, along with its deep respect for life, inspired the artist Mandy to create the motifs of the “flying chicken” and the “dancing people”Accompanying the textile works are songs performed by members of Komunitas KAHE, celebrating the joy of life.
