誠品畫廊北京｜林延個展
林延1961年生於北京，現生活和工作於北京與紐約。1984年畢業於中央美術學院油畫系，後赴巴黎進修，並於美國取得視覺藝術碩士學位。早期油畫訓練奠定了她對色彩的敏感，此後受極簡主義的形式語言啟發，她逐漸轉向更為抽象的表達。從1994年開始，林延展開為期十年的“黑色時期”。2005年前後，創作轉向以紙為核心的“白色時期”，通過皺、破、撕、貼、翻模等方式改變紙張原有狀態，使材料本身成為畫面的內容。

ESLITE GALLERY Beijing | Lin Yan Solo Exhibition
Born in Beijing in 1961, Lin Yan currently lives and works between Beijing and New York. She graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1984, subsequently pursued further studies in Paris, and earned an MFA in Visual Arts in the United States. Her early training in oil painting established a lasting sensitivity to color. Later, inspired by the formal language of Minimalism, she gradually moved toward a more abstract mode of expression. Beginning in 1994, Lin Yan embarked on a decade-long “Black Period.” Around 2005, her practice shifted toward a “White Period,” in which paper became her primary medium. Through crumpling, tearing, cutting, pasting, casting, and other processes, she transforms the original state of paper, allowing the material itself to become the content of the work.
