Museum admission is free. You will be given a map on arrival with the schedule of events each day.

The festival is free so come as often as you can.

March 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29 from 11am to 4pm.

🎒 It's time to pack my bags for my last weekend as a mermaid.

🤡 My "circus family" have become so special to me.

🧜‍♀️ Thanks first to Una The Mermaid for contacting me in 2020 when we announced that we were creating a mermaid museum. She was been our star attraction every year. Getting to work with her, Jason Botel, and Moth, has been a lesson in "the show must go on."

🦄 Thanks to Crystal Anne and Wally Somero from The PNW Unicorns and the PNW Bucket List for years of collaboration. We are kindred spirits and I have learned so much.

☠️ Thanks to Ashley Morgan, known as Siren Circe, from What Dwells Beneath, and Pirate Clifford Luke Morgan for years of advice and inspiration.

💃 Thanks to Rachel Novak The Sailing Siren for that first podcast interview and sharing her world-class talent ever since. She is a kind and genuine person.

🎪 Thanks to Nick Perry and Amanda Thornton from Vertical Axis. There are few people I have met who work and train as hard, and it shows. It's been so much fun watching you.

✨️ As someone who feels always out of step with the rest of the world, each of them has shown me that unique, quirky, and artistic, are positive assets to embrace rather than secrets to hide.

🎭 So as we all pack our glitter, sequins, tails, horns, and assorted props, I hope there will be lots of people coming to the festival to share in what we have put together at the International Mermaid Museum.

💍 Biggest thanks always to my partner in everything, Blain Roberts, whose underwater photography inspired the idea of "teaching ocean ecology from seashore to sea floor immersed in mermaid mythology, uniting world oceanic cultures." You brought me back to Westport and together we made a difference.

The incredibly popular annual Mermaid Festival is FREE and family-friendly. It is held at Westport Winery Garden Resort, home of the International Mermaid Museum. Museum admission is free from 11am to 6pm on March 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29 (International Mermaid Day). Festival hours are 11am to 4pm.

The festival boasts a fleet of world-class entertainers along with over 30 talented local artists and fresh tempting treat purveyors and sparkles with a series of special attractions for visitors of all ages during this celebration of the sea. In addition to the museum’s enchanting educational exhibits, everyone will enjoy meeting a school of mermaids from around the region along with other mythical creatures throughout the museum, gardens, and tents.

The Northwest’s most famous mermaid, Una, will be performing underwater in her tank each weekend from 11am to noon, 1pm to 2pm, and 3pm to 4pm.

Siren Circe will preside on the mermaid throne in the museum daily from 11am to 4pm. Many visitors in the past have met Circe at the oyster shucking exhibit where--with her cohort Pirate Cliff--pearls are found and abound.

Vertical Axis performers Nick Perry and Amanda Thornton will electrify the sky at 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm daily. Theirs is a combination of music and dance while suspended from a 20-foot tower.

All ages will want to exchange greetings with the Pacific Northwest Unicorns and their handler Crystal, each day from 11am to 4pm during the festival. Her unicorns, Sky and Blue, are truly enchanting and eager to have their photos taken with their fans.

During the festival, Rachel Novak, the Sailing Siren, will thrill guests with fire dancing at noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. Rachel was named Fire Entertainer of the Year 2016 and is the reigning Scuba Queen USA.

The Ono Wahini Áina Mermaid School, lead by Mermaid Cordylia, will have mermaid magic to share with photo opportunities and information on how to become a mermaid!

The Black Widow Pirate will challenge kids to sword fights at 11:45am,12:45pm, 1:45pm, 2:45pm, and 3:45pm outside the event center at the Wandering Whymsies trailer.

Belly dancing mermaids will perform each Saturday at 12:30pm and 2:30pm inside the event center.

Each day in the museum kids are invited to a Pirate’s Treasure Hunt with prizes for those who complete the puzzle and find the treasure.

This festival is produced via grant funding from Grays Harbor Tourism.

The International Mermaid Museum is a registered 501(C)3 non-profit dedicated to teaching ocean ecology from seashore to sea floor immersed in mermaid mythology, uniting world oceanic cultures.

Located on the grounds of Westport Winery Garden Resort, halfway between Aberdeen and Westport on the Washington Coast in Unforgettable Grays Harbor County, the museum is open daily from 11am to 6pm year around.
