Join us Sunday, October 25 between 10am and 12pm in Discovery Woods for Nature Process Art! We’ll gather some natural objects and use them to make collaborative art. Add to our project and think about how spending time in nature makes us feel. Inclement weather may result in changes to the program, or cancellation.

We are accepting donations through Nov. 1 of new and gently-used clothing and shoes for all ages and genders to stock Bessie's Closet—our FREE pop-up clothing store happening Nov. 6 -8. We could especially use children's sizes 6 - 14.

Join us Friday, October 23 at 1:30pm for Treehouse Yoga. Move your body and connect with nature while doing outdoor yoga! Yoga improves physical and mental strength, like self-awareness and focus. Kelly Western, professional yoga instructor, will lead a fun yoga class for children and adults that incorporates balance, strength, stretching, and mindfulness in the context of connecting with nature. Yoga mats available. (Optional: Bring your own yoga mat or beach towel.) Inclement weather may result in changes to the program, or cancellation.

Grab a paintbrush and test your skills in garden guardian portraiture! Join us Friday, October 23, 6pm - 9pm for Gnome Gnight, an evening of creative fun to support Discovery Museum's expansion of Traveling Science Workshops!

Attendees will be supplied with paints, brushes, and canvas, and will follow the instructor from Art on the Rocks to paint a personalized gnome portrait, which they may take home at the end of the evening. Pizza will be served. Attendees are welcome to BYOB, as no alcohol will be served on-site. All registrants must be 21+.

Help us get the Discovery Woods Garden ready for the winter! Join us Wednesday, October 21 between 10:30am and 12pm for Backyard and Beyond: Working in the Garden. We will prune perennial herbs, trim back or harvest any remaining crops, and pick up any sticks or leaves. Grab a trowel to loosen up that summer soil to help our garden rest during the long winter months.
