Big dreams start with small steps... and today was a BIG step! ✨

This morning, our builder came out to look at the house and discuss plans for something I've been dreaming about for a very long time.

For those of you who have followed my journey from the beginning—or have sat in the quilt shop and listened to me talk about it—we are working toward creating a small, intimate quilt retreat right here on our property.

Today's visit included plans for adding a dedicated sewing room, transforming the exterior to complement the quilt shop, adding a porch, and exploring all the possibilities that could turn this dream into reality. It was one of those days that makes your heart happy.

If you're a believer in little miracles, positive thoughts, and cheering on someone else's dream, we'd be grateful if you'd add us to your prayer list or send some good vibes our way. Building something special takes a village.

Quilters are always looking for a place to gather, create, and recharge. We're hoping to add a cozy retreat space right here on the farm that offers a small-group experience filled with sewing, friendship, and plenty of inspiration. ❤️

Loaded up and ready to head to the Lathrop Quilt Guild meeting tonight! 🚗🧵

We'll be chatting all about quilted coats, and I'm bringing along some of my favorite bags to share as well. There’s nothing better than spending an evening with fellow makers, sharing inspiration, creativity, and a few pretty projects along the way.

Today's little project was all about "upcycled jeans" off my to-do list. I grabbed an old pair of Wranglers, dug into the scraps from my latest bag-making project, and stitched in a fun patchwork panel. Add a little rickrack at the hem, and now I've got a one-of-a-kind pair of jeans that makes me smile every time I see them.

If you've been thinking about trying this yourself, consider this your sign! You don't need a serger, fancy equipment, or a perfect plan. Just grab an old pair of jeans, cut them up, and go for it. Sometimes the best projects come from using what you already have on hand.

New goodies are rolling into the shop! 🎉
Today we're adding lots of new swag from Dueling Threads, handcrafted locally by the incredibly talented Elizabeth Brown. By day she's an engineer, and by night she's a quilter creating some seriously amazing products!
Right now, we're stocking 40-ounce tumblers with removable handles and screw-on lids. That's right—you can swap the handle onto a different tumbler if you'd like! We also have rulers, gadgets, and plenty more clever quilting accessories making their way into the computer and onto the shelves.
We absolutely love supporting local makers, and Elizabeth's attention to detail and creativity shine through in every piece she creates.
