Save the date! This year, History Through Headstones will take place on Wednesday, October 14th, from 5 to 7 pm at the Riverside Cemetery in Albany.

History Through Headstones is an annual event put on by Albany Regional Museum in partnership with the Riverside Cemetery Association. In this program, docents share the life stories of people who are interred at the Riverside Cemetery. This year, in alignment with the America 250 celebrations going on across the country, the event will feature people who are descended from Revolutionary War patriots. Their ancestors founded the nation, and their families have continued to shape the United States, Oregon, and Albany across the last 250 years.

This event is free and open to the public, so no ticket reservations are necessary. We can’t wait to see you there!

This summer, Albany Regional Museum is once again offering free admission to military families through the Blue Star Museums program!

From Armed Forces Day through Labor Day, military families can gain free entry for up to six people by showing a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card at the front desk. While active-duty military personnel and veterans receive free admission to ARM year-round, free admission for family members is available during the Blue Star Museums program period only.
