It’s almost summer! As we enter June, ARM members gain access to two new reciprocal attractions.

The first is the Museum at Warm Springs, located in Warm Springs. Their mission is to “preserve the culture, history and traditions of the three tribes which comprise The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.” To learn more about their collections, exhibits, and hours of operation, visit their website at www.museum.warmsprings-nsn.gov/.

The second is the Shelton McMurphey Johnson House, located in Eugene. The SMJ House is a Victorian historic house museum, and their mission is to “preserve the Shelton McMurphey Johnson House for the benefit of current and future generations.” To learn more about their tours, policies, and hours of operation, visit their website at www.smjhouse.org/.

As with all of our monthly reciprocal attractions, ARM members must show their proof of membership and photo ID to the gate attendants at the designated attraction to receive 4 free admission tickets.

This benefit is valid for the whole month and may be used as many times as you like at the featured attractions of the month. This benefit is solely for attraction admission during regular business hours; it does not extend to discounts on classes, store merchandise, or special events.

Not an ARM member? Visit www.armuseum.com/membership to join!

Save the date! This year, History Through Headstones will take place on Wednesday, October 14th, from 5 to 7 pm at the Riverside Cemetery in Albany.

History Through Headstones is an annual event put on by Albany Regional Museum in partnership with the Riverside Cemetery Association. In this program, docents share the life stories of people who are interred at the Riverside Cemetery. This year, in alignment with the America 250 celebrations going on across the country, the event will feature people who are descended from Revolutionary War patriots. Their ancestors founded the nation, and their families have continued to shape the United States, Oregon, and Albany across the last 250 years.

This event is free and open to the public, so no ticket reservations are necessary. We can’t wait to see you there!
