Get ready for a dinosaur tea party where things are anything but fancy. Think dirt, and prehistoric chaos! Party Perfection Oregon will be joining us for face painting and extra fun to keep the adventure going. It’s all about roaring loud, playing hard, and having a totally untamed good time.

We will have differing themed activities plus unlimited carousel rides during the event. There will be themed food and desserts, juice, tea, and hot cocoa. Bring your dinosaur appetites!

Part horse and part sea creature, the hippocampus was carved for kids who love ocean adventures and mythical creatures.

If you haven't visited the Albany Carousel this year, there are two new animals to ride.

One of them is Kitty, who was added to the carousel in March. We are so excited for you to come experience the magic of riding this beautiful unicorn.

Tag someone who loves unicorns so they can visit and take a selfie with Kitty.

Not many people can say they’ve ridden a dragon, but now you can with a visit to the Albany Carousel.

Yun Hsiang, the Chinese Dragon, is a middle-row jumper. Yun, Cecilia’s given name, means sea foam, and Hsiang means harmony in Chinese.

He is painted in eye-catching colors of rich blue, gold, and red. Yun Hsiang is holding a large pearl-like orb with Cecilia’s maiden name, Chen, illustrated in a black Chinese character within the opalescent luminous layering of the sphere.

Traditionally, dragons are often represented with a giant pearl that symbolizes wealth, good luck, and prosperity. Yun Hsiang may look a little intimidating but he is a typical Chinese dragon, always kind, gentle, and wise.

He also loves celebrations and he gives great rides on the carousel.

Did you know that the Historic Albany Carousel & Museum is not only a beloved Albany Landmark, but also a popular Oregon Tourist destination.

Because of our 1909 Dentzel Mechanism we've had people from out of state, and even other countries, visit our Carousel.

What makes this carousel especially rare is that it’s a “menagerie” carousel. Instead of only horses, it includes dragons, unicorns, giraffes, whales, hippocampus creatures, and more, inspired by the elaborate fantasy carousels popular in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
