Albert Lea Art Center The mission of the Albert Lea Art Center is to create, educate, promote and showcase the arts.

The Albert Lea Art Center has an art gallery that features free admission and is open to the public. We also participate in community events, have a gift shop, host a variety of art classes, provide a space for groups to meet and host a monthly lecture series which features a variety of speakers. Congratulations to another winner who turned in an art medallion they found during the Art Medallion Hunt week.

They turned it in on August 29, which was the last day to do so. Three were not turned in.

We plan on doing this free and fun event again in 2027!!

September 2026 Featured Artist of the Month in the gift shop is Martiangelo, AKA Marty Shepard.

Marty is an Albert Lea artist known for her abstract figurative works of women and costumes.

In this display, she diverts from those works to the ones you see on the wall; which are representations of the wildlife seen at Myre-Big Island State Park located in Albert Lea.

Stop in the gift shop Wednesdays through Fridays 10am to 4pm or Saturdays 10am to 1pm to view and/or purchase a piece of Marty's work.

Or you can also see all of her other work at her studio located at 1416 W Main St, Albert Lea which is open by appointment. Her phone number is 507-402-1399.
