The Robert M. Ellis Art Collection Trust is home of the remaining artworks created by Robert M. The collection is managed by the Trustee, Wendy Shannon.

Ellis over his career as an artist, educator, museum director and more. Ellis Art Collection Trust is dedicated to furthering Bob’s artistic legacy by disbursing his work for exhibition, loan, and sale that will expand the public’s awareness, appreciation, and understanding of his art and life. In 2020, Bob’s studio was moved to a new location to preserve, archive, and display his work for the pur

Several works from Robert M. Ellis in the new show at Exhibit 208: Albuquerque Artist's from the 1970's .

August show began Saturday, August 1st with the Opening Reception on Friday, August 14th.

This show is a wonderful celebration of the artists working and living in Albuquerque in the 1970’s.

203 FINE ART is pleased to answer an age-old question: What is the difference between Robert Ellis and Robert Ellis? Aside from a middle initial that distinguishes the two artists (Robert C. Ellis and Robert M. Ellis), these two legendary modernist painters have consistently overlapped. From their use of the GI Bill after WWII, their time at the University of New Mexico, to choosing the small town of Taos as home and building international artistic careers that crossed the same borders, both Bobs have long deserved to have their individual stories shared.

Inspired by the expansive landscape of Northern New Mexico, Ellis moved to Taos and produced a series of Northern New Mexico landscapes (1980s).
