✨Our First Friday Lecture Series returns next Friday, June 5, from 5 - 7 PM at the North House Museum!

Join us for an evening with Alderson quilter Mary Mitchell as she presents "Underground Quilts: A History of African American Quilting Traditions," exploring quilting traditions connected to the Underground Railroad, the cultural significance of handmade quilts, and the ways fabric and stitchwork preserve stories of faith, resilience, and survival across generations.

Admission is free and all are welcome! Light refreshments will be provided, and guests are also welcome to bring their own as we gather for an engaging evening of history, conversation and community.

Oh my goodness! What a wonderful day we had with the Strawberry Festival! The town was hopping with good fun! Thanks to all the strawberry lovers and folks who wanted to defy the rain! Thanks to all who organized this event. We had a great time will all the visitors, conversations and even a lion visit!

We have sadly lost one of our founding artisans, Jill Highlander, who's photographs and clothing accessories have graced our gallery since it's inception. Jill was an Alderson resident who never gave up on her support for bringing art and craft to our small town. We will truly miss her. The gallery will continue to offer her work to friends and the public who would like to have some of Jill's work. Work will be available until June 15.
