💃 We are excited to announce our summer trivia night series!

🎫 Trivia starts at 7pm. Tickets are $15 per person and include snacks and mocktails. Teams are limited to 6 people. No outside alcohol is allowed.

Staff members at combine their knowledge to create bi-weekly trivia nights throughout the summer in the beautiful gardens of the Carlyle House. Test your knowledge on everything from pop culture to history. Registration must be done in advance. Limited capacity so register early!

Each trivia night will have a different theme. There will be weekly prizes for the winning team as well as a grand prize for the team that wins the most points over the entire summer! Please note that 2026 Trivia Night at Historic Sites will be located at Carlyle House.

🍃 Join our yoga instructor for an hour long Yoga Class on Carlyle House’s Magnolia Terrace. A gentle flow yoga class. We will build heat with sun salutations then progress to balance, deep stretching and finally relaxation. Please bring water, a towel, and a yoga mat. Wear comfortable yoga wear.

Class may be canceled due to inclement weather, you will receive an email if class is canceled. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 9am and 10:15am, from May through October, are $10 per person, per class.

The rain has finally ended just in time for our Tuesday night Yoga on the Magnolia Terrace at 6pm. Can't make tonight's class? The weather for Thursday (5/28) and Saturday (5/30) is looking good. Class is $10 per person.

Our ticketing system is currently having a glitch for the Tuesday and Thursday classes so please email [email protected] or call 703-549-2997 to reserve your spot. We do take walk ups! Thank you for your patience as we work to get our ticketing system fixed.

Tea first arrived in the American colonies in the 1720s as a luxury few could afford. By the 1750s, it had become a common household staple. But as resistance to British rule grew, tea fell out of favor. By the 1770s, the British East India Company had a powerful monopoly on the tea trade, keeping prices high and fighting the illegal smuggling that had brought tea to the colonies for decades.

📖📚 Join us Saturday, June 6th from 12-3pm for Family Fun Day! This months theme is Book Bonanza!

Read and craft with your friends on the Carlyle House front Lawn for Family Fun Day on the first Saturday of the month from March-November! From 12-3 (unless otherwise noted), you can sit in on story time and participate in crafts and other activities that relate to the theme of the month. Please note that there is no Family Fun Day in July. This program is for all ages, though some of the crafts might be challenging for guests under 4.

There is no fee to join this program, but donations are encouraged.
