Daily Vinyl Spin We work at a creative agency... and we've developed a pretty severe vinyl habit. From raiding the CD Cellar to our own parents' collections, we spin a lot.

Welcome to the visual documentation of what we're listening to at any given moment.

This is an AMAZING record. Melodies and performances are just beyond. Production is outstanding. Quite possibly a perfect record. My coworkers and my oldest daughter have been getting me into Paramore (even though I saw them open for Jimmy Eat World in 2008) a lot, and I'm loving it.

I was gonna say "Turn the volume up and do your best Go-Go's dance!", but Karla DeVito's" We Are Not Alone" isn't available on Instagram. Regardless, my friend Alicia and I were talking about this movie yesterday, and that's why we're listening to it today.

I was gifted this from a friend, and this is the first time I've ever spun it in the office. The record's a bit scratchy (even after a cleaning), but it just adds to the nostalgia factor. Say what you will, but Air Supply had our hearts in their hands for a good, long time back in the '80s.

Discogs is my friend. Copped an original press of this fantastic soundtrack in extremely good condition, and it's bringing back such fun memories. This one's for my sisters, who introduced me to this film and the joy of Lick the Tins' version of "Can't Help Falling in Love."

(Reposting due to aspect ratio change)
Beloved Canadian blues singer Sass Jordan passed away on Friday, October 2nd. I was first introduced to her music in 1994 with this absolutely *killer* album, "Rats," by some friends of mine in college. I honestly wish I could've seen one of her shows while she was here with us. RIP.

My band Juniper Lane was honored to work with Mitch Easter on a few of our releases. This is his band Let's Active's first full-length record (after the "Afoot" EP), and it's awesome. If you've never listened to Let's Active, start with "Afoot" and don't stop. Like, ever.

Alicia brought in Cage the Elephant's third album, "Melophobia." Definitely a challenging listen, but in an absolutely positive way. It's not meant to be easy, and the listener is rewarded in myriad ways.

One more for today.
I've never seen FORBIDDEN FRUITS or heard Anna Drubich's score. But when I saw Waxwork Records' post showing the making of these records... yeah, I had to pick one up. We are enjoying Ms. Drubich's score as I write this, and I'll be checking the movie out soon.

A24 has finally started shipping Devonté Hynes' score from Olivia Wilde's THE INVITE. I loved this score when I saw it for review (head over to DC Filmdom), and I'm very happy to be spinning it in the office today. Kirin McElwain's cello playing is lush and wonderful.
