The sweetest way to ring in our 10th annual Easter egg hunt was with 87 degree weather! Thank you to all whom attended and cleared 2,000 eggs in less that 3 minutes! Thank you to the Library for letting us use their lawn again and again.

This is the second year our candy was donated in memory of Jeff Kelley. A long time board member. A huge thank you to this anonymous donor!

In 2026, we will celebrate 50 years of Hartslog Day — a tradition built by generations of community members and countless volunteers who have carried this celebration forward.

To honor this milestone, the Hartslog Day 50th Anniversary Committee will host a special Heritage Gala as part of a year-long celebration. This evening will bring people together to reflect on our shared history, celebrate the unique traditions of Hartslog Day, and look ahead to the future.

We are currently gathering early interest from:
• Guests who would like to attend the Gala
• Businesses and individuals interested in sponsorship opportunities
• Community members willing to contribute auction items or experiences

This is our first community planning meeting to form committees and gather ideas for this once-in-a-generation celebration. If you care about Hartslog Day, local history, crafts, heritage, or simply want to be part of something meaningful — this meeting is for you.
All are welcome. No experience needed. Just bring your ideas and your love for Hartslog Day.

In 2026, Hartslog Day will celebrate its 50th Anniversary, honoring five decades of heritage, history, and one of the largest craft shows of its kind. This milestone belongs to our entire community — and planning starts now.
We’re forming committees and gathering ideas to help shape this once-in-a-generation celebration. If you’re interested in being part of the planning process, we invite you to complete our digital interest form so we can match people with committees and plan accordingly.

Alexandria Community Holiday Party Today

The Alexandria Memorial Public Library is hosting its annual Holiday Party on Friday, December 5th at 6:00 PM, and we’re excited to share that the Hartslog Heritage Museum will also be open for the evening!
