Clay on Steele Clay on Steele is a working pottery studio and gallery. We offer pottery classes and monthly workshops for all ages through out the year.

We have a collection of ceramics made by local potters on show and participate in Algoma First Fridays monthly. Clay on Steele (COS) is a community art center focusing on promoting the arts- specifically ceramics- by providing instruction and space for personal exploration in clay. The environment at Clay on Steele is very “hands on”, with 8 potters wheels and all the equipment needed for hand bui

lding. The staff is ready, willing and able to teach and foster the creative talents of those in and around the community- as well as tourists coming through Kewaunee County and the Door Peninsula- who have a desire to create. Algoma First Friday is on the way! The Raku kiln waits for you. Lots of pots to glaze and fire for the last time this season! Decorated ceramic works are on display. Lots of refreshment served. Please join us for some flame and fun, 5-8. First firing at 5:30, second firing 6:30.

Thanks to Ileen for being in the studio, always a joy to see her gnomes!
We’re busy hikin the Olympic Peninsula, tossing eaten oyster shells and watching sunsets along the Juan De Fucca straights. When it’s not foggy we get to see Canada on the other side. Clay on Steele is open this weekend. Please stop by.
