It is with heavy hearts that we share a final update on the status of the museum. Due to circumstances beyond our control, The MORA will unfortunately be closing its doors. This is certainly not how any of us had hoped our story would end.
The Museum of Off-Road Adventure was built around a love for off-road history, the vehicles that helped create it, and most importantly, the people who share that passion. Along the way, this little museum became much more than a collection of vehicles and memorabilia. It became a place for stories to be shared, friendships to be made, and memories to be created.
To every person who walked through our doors, brought a vehicle to display, volunteered their time, donated, sponsored us, bought a raffle ticket, attended an event, shared any of our posts, or simply told someone about The MORA, from the bottom of our hearts we thank you. You helped make this all possible and we will always be grateful for the support this community has given us these past years.
Unfortunately, with the closing of the museum, there will also not be be a Wheels in the Woods show this year.
Wheels in the Woods became a very special part of The MORA, and we want to thank everyone who brought out their vehicles, volunteered, sponsored or promoted the event, or simply came out and spent the day with us. We had been greatly looking forward to the event this year and we know a lot of you were also, with how many have reached out in the last few weeks asking. We wish we could have done it one more time and we may try to organize some sort of event in the future as a few people have suggested with proceeds going to some other museum or good cause so please keep following us for more information if that works out!
As we make this post and bring a close to this chapter, we hope The MORA will be remembered not simply for what was inside the building, but for the people, stories, friendships, and memories that came through its doors.
From all of us who have been part of the Museum of Off-Road Adventure, thank you for coming along for the ride.
The pavement may end here, but the adventure doesn't, we'll see you somewhere down the trail!!
