Steven Assael is a featured artist in The Figurative Artist's Handbook by Robert Zeller and Monacelli Press. Steven Assael attended Pratt University on a full scholarship, and has gone on to teach at the School of Visual Arts since 1985 and the New York Academy of Art since 1997. His work is included in public and private collections around the world. Some are, the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art , the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Yale University (New Haven, CT), and the Chicago Institute of Fine Arts (Chicago, IL). Yes, River Art studio is closing after 11 wonderful years in business! I will be teaching private classes at a different location for anyone who is interested.
To all of my past students who came and went, thank you for your support! To all of my current students, thanks for hanging in thru the transition and your dedication & friendship!
