My solo exhibition What I Paused For: What We Almost Missed is on view now at through June 27.
These paintings begin in the spaces we pass through without really seeing — creek edges, park margins, the stretch of path between here and somewhere else. The titles are love letters: to people I think about while running, to conversations that continue, to those I miss.
“When you stood in front of me.” “I love when you walk toward me: Brookside by the creek.” “It went quiet for a while and then I could hear you again.”
“Jennifer’s work invites us to reconsider the places we think we already know. Through her process, she transforms the familiar into something deeply contemplative. The result is a body of work that feels both contemporary and personal.” — Suzy Jones, Executive Director, ArtCentre of Plano
Small oils start at $95 — shop the full exhibition through the link in bio.
Come see it in person if you can. Reception and artist talk: Sunday, May 24, 4–6 p.m. Free and open to all.
